1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Savorum services are operated by Veridorn LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“Veridorn,” “we,” or “us”). Contact us at info@veridorn.com.
These terms govern Savorum Cloud and Savorum Connect, where offered, including access through the website and Savorum applications. You agree to them when you create an account or accept them during signup.
These terms do not replace the licenses for Savorum's open-source software or impose additional conditions on independently self-hosted installations. A subscription pays for the service you select, not ownership of your recipes or exclusive rights to the software.
2. Your account and service
Savorum Cloud provides a managed recipe workspace for personal and household use. Your plan's included features, storage, household limits, and other restrictions are described when you subscribe. It is not a general-purpose server or file-hosting service.
Savorum Connect provides remote access to a compatible Savorum instance that you or its operator host. The server operator remains responsible for that instance's operation, security, and backups. Ending Connect ends the remote access we provide; it does not delete data on the self-hosted server. Features and limits for each service are shown with its plan.
Where offered to eligible subscribers, a Savorum Cloud trial lasts 14 days and begins with a subscription purchase. Paddle requires payment details; Apple handles payment through your Apple Account. The subscription starts billing when the trial ends and renews for the selected interval unless canceled. Savorum Connect has no trial.
The subscription holder must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. Other household users must meet applicable age requirements and have any required parent or guardian permission. Do not create accounts for children under 13.
Keep your account information accurate and your credentials secure. Only invite people you are entitled to invite. Household administrators control access according to the permissions available in the service. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Prices, purchases, and renewals
The price, currency, billing interval, applicable taxes, and total due are shown before you confirm a purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected interval unless canceled. We will provide advance notice of price changes affecting a future renewal and obtain any consent required by law. A change will not increase the price of a period already paid for.
For purchases through Paddle, Paddle is our authorized reseller and the merchant of record. Paddle sells the subscription and handles payment collection, applicable transaction taxes, billing inquiries, and refunds. Veridorn provides the selected Savorum service and technical support. Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy govern the purchase transaction; these terms govern your use of our service. Nothing here reduces rights you have under those purchase terms or applicable law.
Where Apple In-App Purchase is offered, Apple handles those purchases under its applicable terms. A purchase billed by Apple is not a Paddle transaction.
4. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel renewal at any time. For Paddle purchases, use the subscription-management link in your receipt or contact Paddle support. For Apple-billed subscriptions, use Apple's subscription settings. Contact us if you need help identifying the correct route.
To avoid the first charge after a trial, cancel a Paddle subscription before the trial ends or an Apple subscription at least 24 hours before it ends. Cancellation normally stops the next renewal and leaves access available until the end of the paid period. Earlier termination may apply when you request and receive a refund or exercise a legal withdrawal right. Uninstalling an application does not cancel a subscription.
Refund eligibility and instructions are set out in our Refund Policy. Mandatory consumer rights take priority over these terms.
5. Your content
You retain the rights you hold in recipes, images, notes, and other content you add. Importing third-party material does not transfer its owner's rights to you or to us. You are responsible for having permission to store, use, and share your content.
For Savorum Cloud content, you give us permission to host, copy, back up, process, and display it only as necessary to provide and protect Cloud, carry out your instructions, and comply with law. This permission includes the service providers working on our behalf and continues only as needed for those purposes, including the retention periods in our Privacy Policy.
We do not acquire ownership of your library, use it for advertising, or use it to train machine-learning models. Content you share with household members is available according to their permissions, and they may retain copies they export.
6. Acceptable use
Use Savorum Cloud to keep content reasonably connected with recipes, cooking, or household food management, including legitimate source documents and photos. Do not use either service to store or transmit child sexual abuse material, nonconsensual intimate imagery (including manipulated imagery), other unlawful content, or material that infringes another person's rights. Do not distribute malicious software, access accounts without permission, evade payment or disclosed limits, interfere with the services, or use them for unrelated bulk storage or general-purpose hosting.
Report suspected misuse through our contact page. Do not send us copies of suspected illegal imagery. We may take proportionate action where reasonably necessary, including restricting access, quarantining or removing Cloud content, or suspending service. Specific information may be preserved where required by law or needed for a security investigation or legal claim.
Nothing in these terms restricts rights granted by applicable open-source licenses or activities protected by law.
7. Operation and changes
We will provide the services with reasonable care and skill. We maintain and update Cloud's hosted software, and features may evolve. Maintenance, failures, and events outside our reasonable control may interrupt access. No particular uptime percentage is promised unless expressly included in your plan.
Keep exports of Cloud content important to you. Managed Cloud backups, where included in your plan, do not replace your own copies. This does not reduce our responsibility to provide the backup features we have sold you.
Check imported recipes, measurements, allergens, and cooking instructions before relying on them. Savorum is an organizational tool, not a guarantee that user-provided or imported information is correct.
8. Suspension, closure, and taking your data with you
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address overdue payment, a material breach of these terms, a security threat, or a legal obligation. When practicable and lawful, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve it. Urgent security or legal concerns may require action without advance notice.
If we discontinue a service or terminate a Paddle-billed subscription for reasons other than your material breach, we will arrange a refund of the unused prepaid period through Paddle. For Apple-billed subscriptions, we will help you seek the applicable remedy through Apple. Any more favorable mandatory rights remain available.
For Savorum Cloud, export your library before access ends if you can. When a 14-day trial ends without a subscription, a paid period ends after cancellation, permitted billing grace ends, or a refund ends paid access, we retain the household's Cloud content for at least 30 days so its authorized owner can request an export without resubscribing. We tell the owner the export deadline and allow at least seven days after a late notice is accepted for delivery. Ordinary application access may end sooner. An authorized household deletion request ends the export window and starts deletion of the shared collection for all members after outstanding work drains. Cleanup includes household backups and prepared export downloads, with retries when providers fail. There is no additional 30-day retention period for those backups after an explicit deletion request. Deleting one member's Cloud account does not delete a continuing household's shared collection. After the export deadline or an earlier household deletion request, deletion follows our Privacy Policy. Export access may be restricted where disclosure would be unlawful or compromise another person's security or rights.
9. Responsibility for losses
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount paid for your Savorum services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was made.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer guarantees and remedies remain available.
10. Updates and disputes
We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes to these terms, except where urgent legal or security circumstances require an earlier change. Changes are prospective, not a way to remove rights already accrued. We will obtain agreement where required by law. You may cancel before a change takes effect; any refund rights required by law remain available.
Wyoming law governs these terms, except where the mandatory laws of your place of residence provide otherwise. Nothing prevents you from bringing a claim in a court available to you under applicable consumer law or contacting a regulator.
Please contact info@veridorn.com about concerns so we can try to resolve them. This does not require you to delay exercising a legal right. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
