Rather not run a server?

Savorum Cloud is the same library with nothing to install, and we look after the backups. You can move to your own server later.

Already running Savorum yourself? Savorum Connect lets you reach it away from home. Your server still holds your library and its backups.

Use the apps with your own library.

Use Savorum’s web and mobile apps with your own server. Recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, and pantry notes all stay on it.

Turn on accounts to share it with your household. People sign in with a password or passkey, or through a sign-in service you already use, such as OpenID Connect, LDAP, Active Directory, or SAML.

A library on your own hardware.

The setup guide has every command. Here is the path at a glance.

  1. Start it on your computer.

Run Savorum with Docker, or build it from source. At first only your own computer can open it, so there is nothing to sign in to.

    Follow the setup guide →
  2. Choose who can reach it.

Before you share it, create an administrator account and turn on sign-in. To reach it from outside your home, put it behind HTTPS.

  3. Keep a backup.

Savorum’s backup command saves your recipes, photos, and history in one file. Check it, and try a restore once so you know it works.

    Plan backup and recovery →

Exporting recipes is not a full backup. It leaves out your books, history, and original files. Configuration reference
